I decided at the end of 2012 that I wanted to sign up for the Long Island Half Marathon (this would be my second Half Marathon; My first was in October 2012 - Diva Half Marathon (Recap)), with the main reason being to push myself out of my comfort zone.
The comfort zone that I’m referring to is my pure hatred of the cold.
|I know I know...|
I'm working on it!
I prefer to run in gorgeous 60-70 degree temperatures (Runner Brat).
Since the Long Island Half Marathon falls on May 5th , this would mean that my training would be during the coldest months of the year (ugh, torture.. why do I do this to myself? < - - dramatic, I know). I envy all of those winter runners who won’t let simple, minuscule things like a blizzard get in their way…
