Birthday Girl!: Harbinger Gloves and Weighted Jump Rope Review & Giveaway

I wouldn't be me if I didn't start my Birthday off with

a sweaty morning gym sesh!

I wasn't going to miss THIS workout!

Post workout = Happy!

Happy Birthday to Me!

Let the festivities begin.....

aka

crunching numbers and burying my head in papers at work!

huh...

Say, what??

this is how I really feel about going to work on my Birthday...
I wish that I could rewind the clock ten years to my 17th birthday when I was excited to head to High School with balloons in hand, a decorated locker awaiting me and my friends there to crack jokes all day!  Well, now I'm in the big girl world with the reality that my birthday will forever land in the middle of quarter end fun of the accounting world.  Don't you worry though, my mom has made me my favorite meal aka 0 calorie homemade ziti and picked up a delicious 0 calorie cold stone cake for dessert!

Did I mention that calories don't count on my birthday?
I know you're all jealous as I would definitely be!

Come the weekend is when the real celebration will begin!  I will be off to Pumpkin Fest which means that I will be drinking pumpkin beer out of actual pumpkins - I'm kind of excited to say the least! Of course there will be a recap of the festivities next week!

So since it's my Birthday I decided to also treat you all with a little gift!

Melanie from Harbinger Fitness sent me a pair of gloves and a jump rope a few weeks back so, I think that it's about time to share my review! Oh, and one person will be lucky enough to win their own gloves and jump rope!

My Opinion:
When deciding which items from Harbinger that I really wanted to try, this was definitely my top selection!  I have been and currently take this class called, Jump n Drill once a week at my gym which incorporates punching and kicking drills.  Since I am actually making contact when performing these drills this requires me to wear gloves to protect my hands.  My previous gloves before these were your typical padded gloves that you could pick up from any sporting goods store.

My old gloves were so worn out... even the gel was starting to show! Receiving these new gloves from Harbinger Fitness couldn't of came at a better time.  My old gloves had gotten plenty of use and were in dire need to be replaced!

The women's training grip wristwrap gloves definitely gave me great support around my wrists due to the wristwrap, which is necessary during punching drills.   I never felt as though my hands & wrists were not protected.  Another great part about these gloves to point out is the light padding.  Coming from my previous gloves which had gel on the top part of my hands, I wasn't sure if these new gloves would provide the protection to my knuckles as the other ones did.  I was definitely proven wrong.  Since these were less bulky and had lighter padding, I actually felt like I had more flexibility with my hands.  I had no broken skin after all of the punching and felt fully protected = success!

Side Note: I've been wearing these gloves to every class since I received them and they are holding up great!

Product Information
Integrated adjustable weight system- 4 weights options per handle: 0 – 1/3lb – 2/3lb – 1lb
Dual-corded rope resists abrasion and maintains shape
Steel bearings for smooth, consistent swing motion

My Opinion:
Who doesn't love to jump rope?  It's such an amazing sweat and quick calorie burn that you can do almost anywhere!  This jump rope was awesome.  I was previously used to the normal plastic jump ropes that you can find just about anywhere.  With this weighted jump rope it definitely made my workout more of a challenge; which I gladly accepted.  Why not add some weight to your jump rope?  I definitely love this jump rope and love that I have it handy whenever I need to get a quick sweat in!
